Kit Lau is a dedicated tattooer currently working out of his private studio; Nine Dragons Tattoo in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.

Tattooing since 2011, Kit has embraced his heritage to specialize predominantly in Chinese inspired custom pieces for serious tattoo enthusiasts. Never limited, he also focuses on styles inspired by Japanese and broader Asian cultures. Rather than designing a tattoo, Kit’s objective is to create striking pieces of art. He strives to help his clients understand the core meaning behind their idea and carry them through visualization to completion.

Originally from Kowloon, Hong Kong, Kit and his family moved to NYC in 1987. Now a longtime New Yorker, Kit’s passion for his heritage never faded and has grown to be a well-loved character trait amongst all who know him.

Kit devotes his time to creating grounded neo-traditional Chinese and Asian inspired tattoos and fine art. As a self-taught tattoo artist, Kit immerses himself in the study of all traditional Chinese and Asian art forms – specifically subjects that relate closely to traditional tattoo culture.
